Abu Dhabi drone attack: Two Indians among three dead in suspected drone attack in Abu Dhabi

Blast kills one Pakistani national and two Indian national, according to Abu Dhabi police, they have not identified any casualties with minor to moderate injuries. They added that the investigation is still ongoing.

Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for the attack on the United Arab Emirates, but Abu Dhabi police have yet to identify any suspects for the possible attack.

Abu Dhabi police said initial investigations indicated that a small flying object, possibly belonging to a drone, had crashed in two areas, potentially causing explosions and fires, according to the Associated Press.

Unconfirmed footage on social media showed thick black smoke billowing from what appeared to be the Mussafah area.

This United Arab Emirates Yemen has been at war since early 2015 and is a member of a Saudi-led coalition over Iran-backed Houthis. It also cooperates with the United States on counterterrorism operations in Yemen.

The Houthis claim to have previously carried out attacks on Abu Dhabi airport and the emirate’s Barakah nuclear power plant. UAE officials have denied these claims in the past.
