The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi is hosting an arts festival to mark India’s 76th Independence Day. Azadi Arts Festival is a three-day arts event that kicks off on August 13 and celebrates Indian art and artists in a unique way, Artscrafts is the one-stop art destination for art lovers.
The festival was opened by Principal Guest, Second Secretary (Political Affairs) Dhruv Mishra IFS in the presence of many other prominent personalities.
Flowers bloomed on the grounds and the artists created a giant floral rangoli, reflecting all aspects of Indian culture at a festival where the Indian community and Emiratis joined hands to celebrate art.
“This festival reflects our spirit as a nation. We are celebrating the arts, but also our lives as Indians who are proud of our roots,” said Mr. Anil Kejriwal, Founder and CEO of Artscrafts. “
Visitors to the event witnessed dance performances, art galleries and exhibitions, live paintings, children’s artwork, creative workshops, and interactive discussions on all things art.
Artscrafts distributed medals and t-shirts to the children as a token of appreciation. The on-site paintings are done by outstanding artists from different emirates of the UAE, whose paintings celebrate the heritage of India.
