[ad_1]

More people now choose the third mode of transportation, those who don’t ring the bell, we are talking about waterways. Cruise travel is one of the ultimate luxuries that people look forward to experiencing. As a result, Abu Dhabi, one of the busiest cruise destinations in the GCC, recorded 70,000 guests on board. Let’s find out more reasons to be in awe of this cruise terminal.

Abu Dhabi becomes busiest cruise terminal

More than 82,000 passengers started their journeys from Abu Dhabi as a port of embarkation. Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal has registered more than 700,000 guests arriving in Abu Dhabi. Compared to Q1 2022’s 89,953 visitors and 60 calls, the first quarter of 2023 has a very high level of activity. It recorded approximately 363,494 visitors and 120 tracked calls. Compared to all of 2022, the number of people hosted in the first quarter of 2023 has increased by more than 37%. This growth is due to continued investment from Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal and the expected recovery of the UAE cruise industry post-COVID-19. Overall, the improvement from last season is impressive.

Thanks to the opening of the Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal in December 2015, cruise passengers can now explore and experience the UAE capital. Etihad Airways check-in areas, restaurants, retail outlets, duty-free shops and luggage storage are all available for purchase at the cruise terminal. The increase in visitor numbers reflects Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for ocean tourism and the confidence our cruise industry partners have in us bringing their newest and largest ships to the region.

Thanks to the development of Sir Bani Yas Cruise Beach and Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal, all tourists can now enjoy a fantastic and unique cruise experience. This gives guests the opportunity to explore the breathtaking natural beauty of Sir Bani Yas Island as well as the breathtaking sights of Abu Dhabi.

The Cruise Terminal team has put a lot of effort into being the busiest cruise hub in the region. All thanks to the management and operations staff of Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal. This feat would not have been possible without the facilities’ top-notch infrastructure and continuous improvement.
