Media leaders will come together Abu Dhabi A major conference aimed at reshaping the future of the industry took place in November.
The Global Media Conference will attract experts from around the world next month to tackle issues such as big data, Metaversefuturism, esports, revenue streams and how artificial intelligencemachine learning and automation can transform journalism.
It is designed to attract thousands of attendees from around the world, around 200 CEOs and dozens of expert speakers.
The conference also aims to provide a platform for journalists, regulators, content creators, streaming giants and more to exchange ideas and knowledge and build partnerships.

“The Global Media Conference 2022 in Abu Dhabi reaffirms these achievements and cements the UAE’s leading position on the global media map. The event is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and expertise among the many media in the region and around the world, “she says.
“It will discuss the latest developments in the industry globally. It will also serve as a gateway for international companies and media organisations to gain further opportunities and partnerships between major international media organisations who will benefit from our country’s ability to provide access to the region’s markets. Speakers scheduled to attend the event include UAE ministers and top media leaders, including Euronews CEO Michael Peters; Caroline Faraj, CNN Arabic Editor-in-Chief; and Lebanese writer and journalist Joumana Haddad.
The event will also include lectures, product launches, workshops, panel debates, AI-specific sessions and an influencer zone. It will also seek to discuss how short video has changed the media industry, including analysis from representatives of social media companies TikTok and Twitter.
The Global Media Conference, to be held from 15 to 17 November, is organised by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre in partnership with state news agency Wam and sponsored by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.
