Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion, participating for the 11th time at GITEX Global 2022, is hosting its first “Capture the Flag” competition for ethical hacking. The competition coincides with the Abu Dhabi Government’s participation in the 42nd Global Leading Event, which will take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 10-14 October 2022.
The first round saw more than 600 teams compete online. The five teams with the highest total points in the first round will participate in the final, which will be held at the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion at GITEX Global 2022 for five days.
Capture the Flag is one of the most famous ethical hacking competitions in the world. The competition will test the skills of ethical hackers in infiltrating websites, applications and computer networks to test security levels and predict hacking attacks, hacking hardware, reverse engineering and more. The winner of the final round will be announced on the last day of the event and will receive valuable prizes funded by Trend Micro.
His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Government Support (DGS), said: “The Government of Abu Dhabi has recognised the value of cybersecurity and the importance of protecting our networks, devices, programs and data at an early stage from attack. , corruption or unauthorized access.
