Abu Dhabi government to showcase over 100 innovative digital initiatives and projects at ‘GITEX Global 2022’

Abu Dhabi, UAE: For the 11th time, the Abu Dhabi government will participate in the 42nd edition of “GITEX Global 2022”, which will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre for five days from October 10th to 14th.

During this global tech event, more than 30 government and academic entities will participate under the umbrella of the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion.

In preparation for the event, the Abu Dhabi Department of Government Support, represented by the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, the government entity leading the digital future of the Abu Dhabi government, held a preparatory online meeting with officials from participating government entities to coordinate efforts. And complete preparations for the five-day event, ensuring effective participation and strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a leader in digital transformation by enhancing cooperation and coordination among the emirate’s various stakeholders.

At GITEX Global 2022, the Abu Dhabi Government will showcase more than 100 initiatives and innovative digital projects in its pavilion, aiming to create a unique experience for visitors by introducing a unified platform that encompasses all government entities.

This engagement is under the supervision of the High Council for Digital Government of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and is in line with its efforts to implement a governance framework across the Abu Dhabi government and fundamentally change the concept of government services towards a digital future.

His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Department of Government Support Abu Dhabi, said: “GITEX Global 2022 is one of the largest technology events to showcase the latest innovations and technologies. It is an important platform to showcase the digital transformation achievements of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi government, reflecting the leadership of the UAE A vision for a society that puts innovation and digital transformation at the forefront of meeting the needs of a society.

“By participating in GITEX Global 2022, the Abu Dhabi government aims to strengthen strategic public-private partnerships, explore new areas of collaboration, and leverage the capabilities of major tech companies to support the emirate’s digital agenda,” added Al Ketbi.

His Excellency Dr Mohamed Abdel Hamid Al Askar, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, said: “We are delighted to organise the 11th Abu Dhabi Government’s participation in GITEX Global 2022, which has attracted people from all over the world.

“GITEX Global 2022 offers the Abu Dhabi government an opportunity to showcase over 100 innovative initiatives and projects in the areas of government services, digital government solutions, data and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital ecosystem support, all through Carefully developed to further strengthen Abu Dhabi’s digital capabilities to support, enable and deliver a proactive, personalised, collaborative and secure digital government.”

Government of Abu Dhabi’s engagement focuses on five key pillars: ‘Government Services’, which provides a smooth and seamless experience designed to meet customer needs through digital channels; and ‘Government Solutions’, which fosters collaboration and supports various government entities and agencies A joint initiative between the two to maximize the value of the initiative’s outputs; “Data and Artificial Intelligence”, which leverages safe and effective data sharing to support decision-making processes and empower government; “Cybersecurity”, which provides world-class networking Security and intelligence to protect digital infrastructure, systems and data for a resilient digital society; “digital enablement” to drive socioeconomic growth and growth through accelerated integration with digital systems, applications, stakeholders, customers business partner.

The Abu Dhabi Government’s participation in this year’s GITEX Global 2022 complements its participation last year, when the Abu Dhabi Government Pavilion attracted more than 12,685 visitors and witnessed the signing of 12 agreements and memorandums of understanding, in addition to the showcase of 100 Innovative initiatives and projects in digital transformation.
