Q: Sebastian, if we could start with you, please. The moment has come, your last weekend as a Formula 1 driver? How are you feeling at this stage?
Sebastian Vettel: I have no idea. Maybe I should ask Fernando, he’s been through it! I’m guessing he’ll go through it again at some point. But yes, I feel fine. I mean, obviously, I think after all these years and games, Thursday’s routine. But I think it’s hard to understand in a way, but I know what’s going on and I’m happy about it, as much as I can.
Q: Do emotions run high when you’re in the car?
SVs: I’ll take another look. I guess at some point it’s going to be a little bit different. Today does feel a little different, although like I said, a lot of it is routine. But yeah, I don’t yet know how much and how. I think you have to ask me again. if you catch me.
Q: I believe we will. It seems corny to ask just one question about the last 17 years of your life. But if you have one lasting memory of your Formula 1 career, what is it?
SVs: I don’t think it works that way. I don’t think it’s fair to choose one over the other. So, I obviously can’t talk for an hour right now, I really don’t want to, but I guess I’m lucky to have so many moments to choose from. Yes, it’s impossible to remember everything after so many years. I guess in a way, the first time always stands out. But yeah, I think every time has its highlights. It’s its moment and I’ve enjoyed the last two years, even though maybe they haven’t really been the highlights from a sporting point of view. Nothing to celebrate, no success in this regard. However, I think I learned a lot. I think I’ve improved, I’ve grown and had a great time with the team. We didn’t get rewarded on the track, but I still don’t think it’s fair to pick just one race or one moment.
Q: Lewis, if I could come to you, please go on. When you think about fighting Sebastian over the years, what do you think of?
Lewis Hamilton: When I think about Seb… he was such a nuisance back then!
SVs: I’m really sorry…this is your answer, but I don’t think Baku is a great moment because what I did was wrong. But actually from that moment on…

SVs: Yes, much better. So I don’t want that moment…not to happen, if you know what I mean!
left hand: I agree. Honestly, we always have such great fights, I just think, most of the drivers will come back.He is back [Alonso], you may come back. Q: Lewis, let’s talk about Mercedes now. You are very fast in Brazil. Do you think you can repeat that level of performance here?
left hand: who knows? We are still improving the car. We don’t think this track is necessarily our strongest. We think it’s more suitable for other people, but I honestly won’t know until I walk out. I hope it’s like the last game.
Q: My last one. I know how interested you are in stats, but it’s your 200th race with Mercedes, how time flies?
left hand: Yes. I was just thinking about the first race we had here in 2009, I think it was Seb… it was actually one of the races we did again and Seb won. But yes, it’s been an amazing journey and I’m very honored to be on this journey with Mercedes. And, I think, it’s one of the longest-running drivers on the team? So, be proud of it. Showing that loyalty remains at the core of one of the many pillars of values ​​we have as a team and look forward to expanding.
Q: Fernando, you also enjoyed many great fights with the guy on your left. What will you miss Sebastian?
Fernando Alonso: Yeah, I mean, next year and Game 1 will be weird without him. But yeah, I mean, as you said, we share a lot. In the past 15 years, sometimes we fought for the championship, sometimes we fought for the seventh place, and even fought for the finish line in Japan, and obviously we still enjoy every fight and respect each other as much as possible. So yeah, I think my career is going to be tied to Sebastian in some way because we fought for a lot of great things and had the best season of our lives, maybe, even It was on his side, and it always turned out to be. FA: let’s see. I think it’s been a bit of an up and down for us in terms of performance, but reliability is also our weakest point. So, let’s see if we can end the season here with a high score and a good result. Regarding our competitiveness, I don’t think we can repeat Brazil’s performance. I don’t think we’ll be anywhere near the top three, but hopefully if we’re in front of the midfield, that’s already a big deal for us, so that’s the goal, finish the race in a good position and yes, enjoy every lap on Sunday.
Q: You don’t leave Formula 1, but you move on from Alpine. How do you look back on your two years with the team?
FA: Obviously, coming back to the sport doesn’t guarantee you’ll be fine and competitive, you’ll still enjoy everything that Formula 1 is. So I obviously, two years ago, when I was doing the presentation here, before Young, I had some concerns about the 2020 driver test, yes, I think last year maybe not 100% happy with the performance and the way the season went. This year, I’m more satisfied with the car and the performance itself, and I think I’m ready for the next challenge. So, you can’t underestimate the importance of getting back into the sport – in case Seb needs some advice – but you need a few races or even a full season to feel 100% again, that’s what happened to me, but I’m happy now that I’m feeling good on a level.
Q: Yuki is coming to you now. You had a wonderful weekend in Abu Dhabi last year. How difficult is it to repeat such a performance this time?
Kakuda Yuki: Yeah, this year, we’ve had an up and down season so far, so it’s probably going to be good. Just like last year. But yeah, look how it goes. In Brazil, not as good as I would like. So obviously, I hope, hope I can continue to do what I did last year, which is the best result for me. So there are good memories, so it’s already a good start. So, see how it goes.

Q: Now your second season in Formula 1 is over. In what areas do you feel you have made progress?
YT: For me, I guess I’d say in general terms: the physical side; the mental side and the driving side. I think in general, I’m very happy, especially I would say that now I feel very relaxed during the race week, especially Thursday, Friday, I don’t know how to deal with it, I have been stressing, especially last year, rush everything. It’s a little stressful, can be frustrating, and makes it a little hard on myself. But now I can relax a bit and I know how to adapt to any situation. So, feeling confident, good confidence and whatever happens, like something that I didn’t expect, I still know how to deal with it. So, yeah, I think overall, this year, I’m really happy with how I’ve improved game by game. Yes, I hope I can continue this momentum and even more. The same goes for next year.
Q: Nicky, thanks for waiting. Of course, at least now is your last race weekend in Formula 1. How does it feel heading into the weekend?
Nicholas Latifi: Yes, there is obviously a range of different emotions. I mean, sure, there were six races to go when I found out that I wasn’t going to stay with the team, so I took the approach of enjoying every opportunity, trying to make the most of it and trying to Enjoy as much as possible without sweating or stressing over the little things. Or in hindsight it may seem like a small thing, and it’s hard to deal with all season long. Obviously now, we’ve reached the final race, and on the one hand it feels like it’s approaching very slowly, but on the other hand, very quickly, so it’s a bit of an odd position. Going into the game, it was definitely a bit sad and then disappointing. I mean, I would love to stay in Formula 1. I mean, that’s my goal. That’s where I want to be. But it seems obvious, like, it’s not. So, you know, I’m grateful for the opportunities these three years have given me, and I know the very privileged position I’m in. A lot of drivers would go to hell to compete in one race, let alone three years in F1, so I’m very grateful for that and want to enjoy it as much as possible.
