After the PCR results, the authorities announced.

Return to school on Monday the 30th, provided that their PCR test result is negative,” the UAE school agency said on Twitter.

On Thursday, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Agency (NCEMA) announced that all students of all ages must obtain a negative PCR test result within 96 hours of the beginning of the school year.

During the first month, all students in the 12-18 age group (whether vaccinated or not) must obtain PCR test results every two weeks, The authorities said.

After the first month, unvaccinated students in the 12-18 age group will be subject to medical exceptions approved by the health authorities and undergo PCR test conditions once a week.

In Abu Dhabi, there are long queues at various Covid-19 screening centers, especially on Thursday and Friday, as many parents take their children for Covid-19 PCR testing before the school reopens on Sunday.

Since the new Covid-19 regulations that came into effect on August 20 only allow green card holders to enter public places, the capital’s demand for PCR testing has also been high.

Currently, only people who have received the Covid-19 vaccine on the AlHosn app and those with green status can enter public places in Abu Dhabi-after a negative PCR test result, the validity period is 30 days.

The activation of the Green Pass system prohibits unvaccinated people from entering shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, retail stores, gyms, recreational facilities and sports activities, health clubs, resorts and educational institutions.
