Abu Dhabi Health Services (Seha) has launched an annual flu vaccine campaign to protect residents of the emirate.
This activity is in line with the “Self Immunization, Protecting the Community” campaign initiated by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, the Ministry of Health (Abu Dhabi) and the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Acting Executive Director of Seha External Treatment Services, emphasized that timely vaccination can reduce the risk of severe symptoms and hospitalization.
“Although many of us are beginning to see life return to normal, it is important that we remain vigilant against other viruses, such as seasonal flu. We urge everyone, especially high-risk groups, to get influenza vaccination this year, because this can reduce the incidence. The risk of severe flu symptoms and reduces the chance of severe flu-related complications that require hospitalization,” she said.
The vaccine is provided free of charge to people over 50, children 18 and under, determined people and pregnant women, as well as all Thiqa card holders, Hajj and Umrah performers, and people with chronic diseases. All other types of vaccinations cost AED 50.
Dr. Noura added: “We are working closely with our partners to carry out this annual event to increase access to influenza vaccines for all communities in Abu Dhabi and for all our employees.”
All residents of Seha Health Centers and Covid-19 drive-through centers in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dafra can receive flu vaccine.

When making a reservation, people can call the Seha Call Center 80050 or schedule an appointment through the Seha app.
Vaccinations can be obtained through home visits at a cost of 350 dirhams. Home visits can be booked through 027116091 (Abu Dhabi) and 027111502 (Al Ain).
Companies can also dial the same number. The vaccine is also provided during home care visits for elderly or chronically ill citizens and residents.
