Abu Dhabi has departed Covid-19 Safety Measures Help limit the spread of the virus during Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The Capital Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health and its Public Health Centre, approved key protocols for face coverings, physical distancing and testing for religious holidays.
The rules are in line with those announced by the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Agency during its weekly televised coronavirus briefing.

Eid prayers
* Believers should wear masks
* They should avoid gathering and shaking hands after prayers
* Keep a distance of one meter from others
Social activities
* People should wear masks and ensure a physical distance of one metre, especially with people who are considered vulnerable, such as the elderly and those with chronic diseases
* Limit celebrations and gatherings to family members and close relatives as much as possible
* PCR test is recommended 72 hours before participating in Hari Raya activities
* Whenever possible, use digital payment methods for Eid donations instead of cashing in person

* Avoid leaving home and mixing with others during the first week of returning from Hajj

Urge the public to act responsibly
National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management (Ncema) spokesman Dr Taher Al Ameri told a briefing on Monday that it will strictly monitor compliance with regulations to limit the spread of the virus.
Dr Al Ameri says the government realises that some people are ignoring Covid-19 Rules in public.
Daily infections have increased in recent weeks, surpassing 1,600 a day since June 23. In early May, the number of daily cases had dropped below 200.
