Abu Dhabi Labor Court helps 14,777 workers get dues worth $86.37m in 2022

ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Labor Court has managed to help 14,777 workers receive AED317 million worth of dues from their employers in 2022.

Some 8,560 workers were involved in class actions for a total of Dh125 million and 6,217 workers were involved in individual cases for a total of Dh192 million.

The court affirmed that it is paying particular attention to expeditiously resolving labor cases and assisting in the payment of dues owed to workers, as directed by His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Courts Abu Dhabi Chairman of the Department of Justice (ADJD), who insisted on the importance of resolving cases quickly.

The Labor Tribunal also noted that the procedures undertaken in coordination with the relevant authorities facilitated the expeditious resolution of disputes in record time and ensured that all parties were entitled to their rights under the UAE labor laws, which are guaranteed and protected through a groundbreaking judicial system that ensures justice. Protect workers.

Furthermore, the Labor Tribunal commended the cooperation between the strategic partners in providing services to help workers meet their basic needs during the proceedings, as well as the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s excellent efforts in resolving grievances from workers who wish to work for the UAE. other companies.
