ABU DHABI – The Abu Dhabi Labor Court has managed to help 14,777 workers receive AED317 million worth of dues from their employers in 2022.
Some 8,560 workers were involved in class actions for a total of Dh125 million and 6,217 workers were involved in individual cases for a total of Dh192 million.
The court affirmed that it is paying particular attention to expeditiously resolving labor cases and assisting in the payment of dues owed to workers, as directed by His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Courts Abu Dhabi Chairman of the Department of Justice (ADJD), who insisted on the importance of resolving cases quickly.
