The Data Academy will partner with a group of professionals and specialized academic institutions to provide government entity employees with specialized training programs and courses in the field of data management. The Academy’s program will focus on educating employees about data fundamentals and data value realization.
Dr Yasser Ahmed Al Naqbi, Dean of the Abu Dhabi School of Government, said: “This project reflects our commitment to developing and building the capabilities of government employees and empowering them with the necessary knowledge of the latest digital methods and strategies. This includes helping to achieve technology for the value of data to adequately address future challenges and opportunities, as well as enabling the digital transformation process to build a knowledge-based economy in the emirate.”
Dr Mohamed Abdel Hamid Al Askar, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Digital Authority, added: “The Data Academy aims to support governments in building data-driven government ecosystems. The project is focused on creating sustainable pathways that connect with the best in the field. Academic experts collaborate to build and improve the capabilities and competitiveness of government employees.”
