The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has launched a new self-guided audio guide to help residents and visitors discover the Emirate’s little-known treasures and learn more about the local culture and heritage, with the top 25,000 in five tour groups Free downloads.
Using the voice map application, residents and tourists can now explore Abu Dhabi at their own pace. The audio tour covers not only the city of Abu Dhabi, but also Al Ain and Al Davra. With a wealth of content to explore, every corner of the emirate can now satisfy brave and curious residents who want to learn more about their homes and tourists who like to venture outside of organized tours.
The first five audio guides are: Abu Dhabi Skyline Tour; Abu Dhabi Downtown Modern Heritage Tour; Al Hosn Architecture Tour; Al Ain Nature and History Tour; and Liwa Fort Tour. The guide will bring users from ancient times to modern times, free to explore, learn and share. The informative tour provides in-depth research on various topics and reveals fascinating inside information that is not available anywhere else.
The new audio guide will enable users to immerse themselves in the history and modern culture of Abu Dhabi in an unprecedented way. DCT Abu Dhabi expects the program to be popular because the diversity and beauty of the emirate will be displayed in new ways, showing the treasures of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhabi to a wider audience.
Getting started with a self-service audio guide couldn’t be easier. After downloading the Voicemap application, no WiFi or 3G/5G connection is required. Since it is a digital experience, users can pause and pick up the trip at their own convenience.
More self-guided audio guides have been planned for other must-see attractions in the emirate in the future.
