Abu Dhabi launches Smart Taxi-Top Billboard Initiative

[ad_1]

The Integrated Transport Center (ITC), Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has announced the launch of the taxi smart billboard project in collaboration with operating companies and relevant strategic stakeholders.

This step is in line with ITC’s efforts to provide innovative and high-quality advertising content to the public. The initiative entails placing smart billboards on the roof of taxis, partnering with advertisers from local companies and businesses in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to promote products and services.

The ITC said the project started with 50 taxis from Tawasul Transport and intends to reach 100 taxis from the same company after the trial period. It is worth noting that there are a total of 6,400 taxis operating in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Integrated Transport Center explained that the initiative is in line with its commitment to strengthen the digital transformation of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and improve public access to its digital service system.

ITC is committed to meeting the requirements of the future and promoting Abu Dhabi’s vision by investing in modern technology to serve the community and create a smarter city in the emirate in terms of services and business practices. The project also aims to use new marketing and digital promotional strategies for these services and utilize cutting-edge technologies to strengthen the field of digital marketing by reaching all segments of society with effective and creative marketing messages.

According to the ITC, billboards on the roof of taxis can help deliver diverse and engaging advertising content to passengers and pedestrians, based on innovative advances in the field of digital marketing.

In addition, it improves the city’s marketing communications and helps to increase community awareness of various services, events and activities. It also provides opportunities for local businesses to promote and market their products and services.

Additionally, digital billboards can creatively broadcast useful traffic safety tips to large audiences as they use innovative technology to clearly display content in all weather conditions without distracting other drivers.

On the other hand, the initiative strengthens cooperation with the private sector by creating new investment opportunities to promote the products and services of local businesses. It also helps the taxi industry to leverage assets and diversify revenue, thereby supporting the local economy by boosting the emirate’s economic development.
