[ad_1]

Abu Dhabi: Public squares, major roads and bridges in Abu Dhabi are decorated with lights to celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) said in a statement on Wednesday (April 19) that the decorative lights, set in popular motifs associated with Eid celebrations, aim to inspire joy and promote community spirit in the emirate. .

Municipal teams in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain and Al Dhafra districts installed Eid lights to add to the decorations during Ramadan. Patterns used include geometric patterns, stars, Eid crescent moon and various Eid greetings including “Eid Mubarak” and “May you have many happy returns”.

Decorative elements celebrating Eid al-Fitr are a popular tradition in the Arab world and Abu Dhabi has installed these festive lights over the past few years to promote celebration and a sense of well-being. In the capital, Corniche Street, Khaleej Al Arabi Street and the city’s main bridges were specially illuminated.

DMT also assures residents that the decorative elements meet the highest safety standards and are therefore weather resistant, insulated and made of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.
