Abu Dhabi Media Commissions Arab Version of Israeli Series ‘In Healing’

The psychodrama has been remade in more than 20 countries and is currently undergoing its first adaptation in the Middle East and North Africa.

Abu Dhabi Media has signed an agreement with Israeli distributor Dori Media Group (DMG) to produce an Arabic adaptation of the critically acclaimed psychodrama, under treatment.

As part of the agreement, ADM will produce 45 psychological episodes, which will be broadcast on Abu Dhabi Television and the ADtv app.

In Treatment was created in Israel in 2005 by Sheleg Productions under the name tipIt has since been adapted in more than 20 countries around the world, including in the US for HBO, with versions starring first Gabriel Byrne and then Uzo Aduba.

The partnership agreement to produce the show was announced during Mipcom Cannes.

It’s the latest in a series of deals between the two companies, both of which previously operated in unscripted formats Selfie Challenge and win over the crowd.
