Malafi Health Portal launched

TonThe Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) has launched the Malafi Health Portal on the ongoing Gitex Global. The portal will provide residents with easy and secure access to their centralized medical records through a website and app.

As the region’s first Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform, Malafi connects 100% of Abu Dhabi’s hospitals and 99% of all patients, according to DoH.

Through the portal, patients will be able to access the latest information related to their doctor visits, lab results and radiology reports, medications, allergies, conditions, immunizations, discharge summaries, and more.

The Malaffi Health Portal mobile app is available for download from the Apple Store and will soon be available on the Google Play Store.

Additionally, patients can access it online at healthportal.malaffi.ae. After verifying key information, including Emirates ID, patients will be able to log in securely using a verified Emirates Pass account or email address.

Deputy Health Minister Dr Jamal Mohammed Al Kaabi said: Malaffi is a key pillar of Abu Dhabi’s pioneering digital healthcare ecosystem, which continues to deliver deep healthcare value and patient-centred services to our population. The launch of the Malaffi Health Portal is a milestone designed to actively engage patients by connecting them with their medical records. “

Malaffi acting CEO Robert Denson said:The benefits of HIE are endless, and Malaffi as a platform aims to provide value to the entire healthcare ecosystem and transform the way healthcare is delivered. The Health Portal is the next logical step in supporting DOH’s ambition to unlock the highest quality healthcare through digital transformation, keeping pace with global trends and meeting patient expectations to improve more convenient ways as they manage other aspects of their lives. manage their health.

“As an HIE organisation, we are delighted to have the invaluable support from Abu Dhabi’s healthcare sector regulator, the Ministry of Health and the healthcare community to deliver on our globally recognised efforts. We look forward to rolling out more new capabilities for patients, providers and governments and digital health solutions to enhance the healthcare journey in Abu Dhabi and beyond.”

In August, Malafi added a “patient risk profile” to its platform. The newly added feature can predict a patient’s risk level of developing certain chronic diseases or suffering from acute events.
