Authorities announced that more than 4,000 patients will benefit from Abu Dhabi’s updated home care service model.

On Thursday, the Abu Dhabi Ministry of Health announced that it has launched an updated home care service model, which was launched in early 2021 as part of the department’s efforts to ensure that eligible patients receive high-quality home care services.

The department said that after approving the list of service providers that meet all necessary requirements, it updated the home care model.

These requirements will ensure that patients receive the best home care services that meet the highest international standards and global best practices.

The Ministry of Health has approved 77 home care service providers in Abu Dhabi, serving more than 4,000 patients. The selected service provider meets a series of requirements and standards for international certification, provision of continuous healthcare services, and proximity to the patient’s place of residence.

Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Deputy Minister of Health of Abu Dhabi said: “The Ministry of Health-Abu Dhabi is committed to updating and implementing advanced care models to improve the efficiency of the sector and contribute to the provision of health care services, in line with the highest international standards. standard.

“We continue to improve the healthcare sector to ensure that residents have access to high-quality services that are readily available and ultimately enhance their experience. The emirate’s advanced care model will ensure that residents continue to receive services provided by certified, experienced and qualified experts. “

He added: “The launch of an updated home care service model, which is one of the most comprehensive models of its kind in the world, is a testament to the department’s continuous efforts to improve patient journeys. Our priority is to continue to promote health.” Patient-centered timely service improves the well-being of residents. The home care service model follows global best practices, procedures and policies, and continuously monitors performance indicators to ensure patient safety. “

The Ministry of Health-Abu Dhabi has accredited home care service providers throughout the emirate to ensure that patients have continuous, easy and efficient access to these services.

The DoH’s updated home care service model includes clear guidelines for determining patient eligibility, clarifying the types of home care services provided, and determining the licensing requirements of service providers.
