Abu Dhabi ordered to pay $746m in housing loans

The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved the distribution of housing benefits worth AED2.74 billion (US$746 million) to 1,800 Emirati citizens in the UAE capital.

This was done at the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council of.

Housing benefits reportedly include exemption from loan repayments for low-income retirees and families of deceased mortgagors in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions Wow.

Loans cover the following housing categories: Construction, Demolition and Reconstruction, and Repair and Extension.

Mohammad Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Housing Council, said the first housing scheme for 2023, which coincides with Eid celebrations, reflects the leadership’s commitment to ensuring social stability and Commitment to promote development Citizens foster strong, stable families that will benefit the future of the UAE.
