The authorities announced that parents who wish to register their children in a public school or transfer them to a new school this school year must submit an application by September 9.
The UAE School Agency said on Twitter that it has set this Thursday as the deadline for accepting public school students’ registration or transfer applications.
The agency calls on parents of students who wish to register their children in public schools or transfer to new schools to submit applications through the “Al-Manhal” website and ask the principal about the mechanism of student registration or transfer.
Officials emphasized that the minimum age for preparatory students should be three years old, and children must be four years old to be eligible to enter kindergarten this school year.
For the first grade, students must be between 6 and 8 years old. The revised minimum entry age for elementary school students will take effect from the 2021-22 school year (August 31).
The agency also announced that it will extend the deadline for accepting applications for leadership positions (principals) at all levels across the country to September 30.
The authorities earlier announced 38 new vacancies for teaching staff in UAE public schools.
According to the agency, this school year will provide jobs at all levels of education across the country.
Interested persons are required to apply for jobs through the “Teach for the UAE” platform.
In addition to some teaching positions, these positions include 25 vacancies for principal positions, including a kindergarten teacher who should be an Emirati and a teacher of mathematics, English, science, physics and music.
Public schools in Ajman, Sharjah, Umm Al Qawan, Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai need new teachers and administrators.
The agency also requires parents of students who have retaken the most recent year-end exam to check with the school administration and obtain detailed information about their children’s retake results.
Public school students who have not passed the year-end exam have the opportunity to retake the exam after taking some courses and courses through the smart learning portal.
The Smart Summer School program is available online on the LMS portal to strengthen students’ skills and help them prepare to retake the exams scheduled between July 25th and 29th. Smart course tests are arranged for students in grades 4-11 who have failed the third semester.
The agency stated that maintaining effective communication between parents and principals is essential to the development of education.
Officials said: “The principal plays a leading role to maintain the continuity of the education process and to ensure that parents are always aware of the child’s development.”
