UAE’s first traditional Hindu stone temple – currently being built by 3,000 artisans – will open to the public in February 2024
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, recently met with a senior representative of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, an organization that builds Hindu temples in Abu Dhabi.
During the meeting at his palace, Sheikh Abdullah extended Diwali greetings to Pujya Brahmavihari Swami, head of BAPS Hindu Mandir, and the Indian community in the UAE.
“During the meeting, they discussed the value of global harmony and reviewed an update on the development and progress of BAPS India Mendir,” Sanstha said in a statement.
“Sheikh Abdullah expressed his satisfaction and continued support for the values ​​of love, tolerance and harmony propagated by the iconic and historic Hindu Mendir to be built in Abu Dhabi.”
