ABU DHABI, 29th October (IANS): Defending champions Deccan Gladiators will take on home favourites Abu Dhabi at the iconic Zayed Cricket Stadium on 23 November.
The participating teams are the Bengal Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, two-time finalists – Derry Bulls, two rookies this season – Morrisville Samps and New York Strikers, two-time champion Northern Warriors, Abu Dhabi Team and Chennai Warriors.
The opening game will see the New York Strikers led by Kieron Pollard take on the Bengals captained by Shakib Al Hasan at 6.15pm, and the second game of the day will see the defending champions Deccan Gladiators, played by the West Indies. Stars Nicholas Pooran and Andre Russel will take on favourites Abu Dhabi at 8.30pm.
The top two teams at the end of the league stage will go head-to-head in Qualifier 1 and the winner will advance to the Grand Finals. Teams that lose the first qualifier will get a second chance at the Abu Dhabi T10 Trophy, where they will face the winner of the day’s knockout match between third and fourth place.
The third and fourth-place playoffs will take place on Sunday, December 4 at 4:00 p.m. before the final at 6:15 p.m. to crown this year’s champions. The finale of Season 6 of T10 Abu Dhabi will be an exciting closing concert, starting at 8:30pm local time.
Cricket’s fastest format reaches 342 million TV and OTT digital viewers in 2021, resulting in an 81% increase in sponsorship value. At the same time, viewership increased by 135% over the previous edition.
