Abu Dhabi to host 2023 Global Women’s Summit

Sao Paulo – The United Arab Emirates is gearing up to host Global Women’s Summit 2023, will be held in Abu Dhabi on February 21-22, under the theme “The Role of Women Leaders in Peacebuilding, Social Integration and Prosperity”. Organized by the World Council of Muslim Communities (TWMCC) and the General Women’s Union (GWU), the event celebrates 100 years of women’s right to vote.

The summit will be held under the patronage of Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairman of the GWU, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF). She is the wife of the late founder of the UAE, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and is known as the mother of the nation.

TWMCC Chairman Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi was quoted as saying in a statement that “[the council] Believe in the important role women play in the world, especially their growing role in promoting peace and social integration and shaping a more prosperous future. GWU Secretary-General Noura Al Suwaidi said the UAE’s hosting of the Global Women’s Summit 2023 underscores the UAE leadership’s vision, which places support and empowerment of women as a top priority.

“The summit constitutes a world-class moral commitment to adopt new, more inclusive strategies and solutions to address obstacles to women’s progress and strengthen their vital role in advancing sustainable development and promoting global peace and security ,” Al Suwaidi explained.

The event, which will feature many world-renowned female leaders, presents an excellent opportunity to strengthen international cooperation to create a new reality where women are more empowered as leaders and decision-makers, in line with the UAE’s efforts to create The efforts made by the environment are consistent.
