The International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Champions Night will be held in Abu Dhabi from 9-12 March 2023.
The IFBB awarded the UAE capital the right to host the prestigious Night of Champions event during a conference.
IFBB President Dr. Rafael Santonja chaired the meeting and made the announcement following talks with retired Colonel Abdul Karim Mohamed Saeed, President of the IFBB International Academy of Bodybuilding and Fitness in the UAE and Middle East, engineer Walid Abdul in the presence of Academy General Manager Karim Mohamed Saeed Germany.
Dr. Santoga stressed that the decision to host the Night of Champions in Abu Dhabi comes after the UAE’s flawless record of hosting major sporting events and the prominent role that Dubai’s IFBB International Academy of Bodybuilding has played in developing the sport.
“Organizing the IFBB Champions Night in Abu Dhabi will certainly add to the UAE’s cap as the country has a reputation as the country of choice for hosting global events,” said retired Colonel Abdul.
“The Night of Champions is one of the top events on the IFBB calendar for top athletes and we look forward to making this global event a huge success.”
He also thanked the IFBB for choosing the Academy as the main organizer of the competition.
“The UAE will be the first Middle Eastern country to host and organise a Night of Champions, which will be attended by some of the best athletes in the world.
“The technical and administrative details of this international event will be announced soon,” said engineer Walid.
