Abu Dhabi to host Middle East’s first women’s world title fight

McCaskill, the undisputed defending welterweight champion, will take on WBC/IBF light welterweight champion Cameron after McCaskill dropped weight to improve her pound-for-pound credentials . The undefeated Cameron (15-0, 8 KOs), commonly known as “Il Capo,” has held the WBC Women’s Light Welterweight Championship since 2020, having previously won the World Championship in two heavyweight divisions. The Briton has also won the IBF and Ring women’s light welterweight title since 2021, and the IBO women’s lightweight title between 2017 and 2019.

In the other corner, McCaskill (12-2, 5 KOs) has won the undisputed, IBO and ring women’s welterweight title since 2020 and the WBC women’s super flyweight from 2018 to 2020 Champion, and the WBA Women’s Super Bantamweight Champion. 2019-2020.
