Abu Dhabi to offer 4 Musataha partnership projects to private sector by 2023

[ad_1]

Abu Dhabi will offer four Musataha partnership projects to the private sector in 2023, two of which are currently at the request for proposal (RFP) stage. The Musataha agreement grants private sector investors long-term titles to develop government-owned or third-party-owned land.

The most recent project is the Al Ghuwaifat Customs Clearance Centre. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), in collaboration with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), issued an RFP on 22 May 2023. The project involved the design, construction, maintenance and operation of a new customs clearance center in Al Ghuwaifat, a 32-year residence on the C1 plot in the Bayah Al Sila district. The new center will replace an existing facility comprising offices, retail and food and beverage outlets with a gross floor area (GFA) of 5,650 square meters (sqm).

The main timeline of the Al Ghuwaifat Clearance Center project is as follows:

  • The deadline for submitting inquiries is June 19, 2023.
  • Bidders’ Confirmation of Intent is due on June 26, 2023.
  • Bid submission date is July 3, 2023.

Another Musataha project, the Corniche Multi-Venue F&B Center was announced by the ADIO-DMT team on May 8, 2023. An RFP has been issued for the design, construction, maintenance and operation of a multi-venue food and beverage center located at Lot C20 in District W1, along the Abu Dhabi Corniche. As part of the project, the existing building of the “Colombiano Coffee House” will be demolished, to be carried out by the successful bidder.

The main timeline for the Corniche Multi-Venue Dining Hub project is as follows:

  • The deadline for submitting inquiries is June 12, 2023.
  • Bidders’ Confirmation of Intent is due on June 19, 2023.
  • Bid submission date is June 26, 2023.

ADIO and DMT plan to tender two more projects this year:

  • The Food Truck Courts project involves the construction and operation of food truck drive-through facilities in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah. These will include free facilities for 10 years, such as children’s play areas, rest areas and sports facilities. An RFP for the project is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023.
  • The Al Falah Community Market project aims to develop and operate a community center serving the residents of the Al Falah community for 32 years. The project will occupy a site of 13,559 square meters with a gross floor area (GFA) of 4,500 square meters. It will feature convenience retail, F&B outlets, services, gym and sports facilities. An RFP for the project is scheduled for the second half of 2023.
