Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau (ADCEB), part of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adnec Group, the owner and operator of Abu Dhabi’s largest exhibition venues Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in the Middle East has taken a strategic step towards its future business development strategy.
The newly established joint fund between ADCEB and Adnec Group is a continuation of ADCEB’s strategy of leveraging public-private partnerships to drive growth in B2B events and incentive travel in the emirate.
The fund will provide additional financial incentives and support to corporate meeting planners and incentive bodies, while reaffirming Abu Dhabi as a safe destination fully open to business tourism.
Khalifa Al Qubaisi, Chief Commercial Officer of Adnec Group, and Mubarak Al Shamisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Authority, signed the Memorandum of Understanding between Abu Dhabi Exhibition and Convention Bureau and Adnec Group.
The partnership will combine ADCEB and Adnec Group’s joint marketing efforts to raise awareness of the UAE’s readiness to host major conference and incentive groups.

ADCEB’s existing initiatives to strengthen and accelerate the MICE industry include Advantage Abu Dhabi Meetings & Incentives 2.0, an upgraded program to stimulate MICE activity in the region, and the MICE Agencies Reward Scheme, targeting intermediaries such as agencies, planners and travel managers Companies that provide training, industry updates, and the latest products.
ADCEB and Adnec Group Joint Fund is an additional vehicle for international and national agencies (DMCs and event planners) to promote Abu Dhabi, filling the gap in Advantage Abu Dhabi’s group support of more than 500 delegates.
For events planned between May 1, 2023 and December 31, 2024, applicants may submit an inquiry/request for proposal (RFP) to ADCEB or the ADNEC Group through the ADCEB-Adnec Joint Fund for their Support eligibility for the event.
