Abu Dhabi University (ADU) graduates have better job prospects in the UAE than many other job seekers, according to a new study.
The latest annual graduate employability rankings published by HR consultancy Emerging rank ADU graduates as the most employable in the UAE.
The study, published by Times Higher Education, ranked at least 250 universities in 44 countries including Germany, the US and China. It looks at which schools recruiters believe have graduates who are the best fit for the workplace.
Among the educational institutions included in the study, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) topped the list.
ADU ranks 179th globally, up several places from last year’s ranking (181). The second most employed graduates in the UAE are those from Abu Dhabi University, ranked 179th overall.
Across the GCC, Qatar University graduates are the most likely to be hired, while across the Arab region, recruiters are expected to favor applicants with a degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.
The research is based on feedback from the 99,000 employers responsible for recruiting 800,000 young graduates in 2022-2023.
