Abu Dhabi will take on Fujairah in match 14 of the UAE D10 2023 on May 25 at the Malik Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi have played and won all three games to sit second in the standings. Fujairah, on the other hand, has a similar record but tops the list due to a higher net run rate.
Abu Dhabi played against Emirates Reds in their last encounter and Abu Dhabi won the throw and were elected bowlers. The Emirates, batted first, got off to a good start, scoring 42 runs for their opening partners in four rounds. However, they veered off course from there, losing three wickets in their next four games. The scoring rate also dropped due to this and it looked like they would go under-par overall, but a final boom took them to 108 with five wickets lost. Even that total seemed too little for Abu Dhabi’s in-form batsmen as they conceded just one wicket and tied the total within seven runs. Abu Dhabi thus easily won the game by nine wickets.
Fujairah was against the Emirates Blues in their last encounter, Fujairah won the throw and opted to deliver. The batting was a bit slow on the pitch, but the Blues got off to a bad start. They lost a complete top order on their respective ducks. The team lost four wickets in two overs and the team was down to zero. Ashwant Valthapa had a good inning and Adithya Shetty had an assist, but apart from those two, no batsman hit double digits. They posted a meager target of 60 runs and Fujairah chased it like child’s play. They needed half as many passes to win the game easily by nine wickets.
