  • Global Hybrid Workspace Leader Offers New Workspace Offerings in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain Expands in UAE

ABU DHABI – IWG, the world’s leading flexible workspace provider, is opening its flagship Signature hybrid workspace in Abu Dhabi, as well as its headquarters office space facility in Al Ain.

Trusted by some of the world’s biggest companies, including Airbnb, Uber, Amazon, and Netflix, the brand is already present in more than 120 countries, and has ambitious plans to open 1,000 more locations worldwide over the next year.

Founded more than 30 years ago, IWG plc has been redefining the way people and businesses work ever since. Now, this disruptive company is helping shape the workplace of the future.

Mark Dixon, IWG Global CEO and Founder, said: “We are building a stronger and much-needed footprint in the region with the opening of two new facilities. As a global business hub, Abu Dhabi is an excellent place to advance our expansion plans. While the world cautiously emerges from the pandemic, demand for high-quality flexible workspace continues to soar as hybrid work becomes the new normal.

“Our opening in the UAE comes at a time when more and more companies are discovering that flexible working styles can improve employee well-being and satisfaction, while helping to protect the environment. Our workplace model has also been shown to increase productivity and allow Businesses scaling up or down – this is another perfect aspect of the UAE, where SMEs are the largest sector in the UAE.”

While it’s easy to suggest that the pandemic has led to a sea change in traditional attitudes toward the “office 9-to-5” work ethic, Dixon believes that as organizations move toward “hybrid” ways of working: at home, locally offices, and occasionally at corporate headquarters. CEOs were among the earliest proponents of this emerging trend.

IWG research shows that 63% of high-growth companies have adopted a hybrid work model, and its services are used by more than 8 million people in thousands of locations around the world, adding 2 million more satisfied customers in the last year alone.

Locally, a report by real estate specialist JLL indicated that more than half of the respondents (55% of 40 UAE-based enterprise companies) believe that the way they work will no longer be the same. In fact, JLL expects 30% of office space to be flexible by 2030, up from 5% today.

In response to the changing face of work, IWG’s Signature brand will now be open to businesses and entrepreneurs of all sizes at the prestigious Al Maqam Tower at the Global Market Square, Abu Dhabi, Al Maryah Island.

The 1,842-square-meter space within the central business tower is expected to be completed by the end of the year, under a ten-year agreement with real estate investment group FWS Group Ltd.

Timur Gazizullin, spokesman for FWS, said: “IWG offers some of the best mixed work solutions in the world and we expect their Signature brand to be a great addition to ADGM’s infrastructure as its office demand continues to grow.”

Signature brands provide the keys to the world’s ultimate business locations. IWG chooses a work environment with a premium look and feel. Prestigious locations elevate your business status by offering unique yet accessible workspaces in landmark buildings.

Meanwhile, businesses in Al Ain will soon be able to take advantage of the flexible workspaces offered under the IWG Headquarters brand, located in the city’s Siadah Business Centre, on Al Muturad Street, within the Ayla Hotel complex in the bustling city centre.

The business center covers an area of 591 square meters and currently offers 31 offices and a meeting room.

The 10-year agreement with the Siadah Business Centre (SBC) marks the first time IWG has entered the city, and SBC owner Manea Ali Manea Mufreh Al Ahbabi said: “As hybrid work becomes more common, we think it is now This is the perfect time to partner with global experts in the field to ensure our business centres continue to offer the high level of service and convenience that Al Ain business leaders have come to expect. HQ is a brand new brand for the new era of hybrid work.”

Headquarters workspaces are practical spaces where actual work gets done. When everything is in place and ready, HQ’s offerings are fully inclusive for businesses and teams of all shapes and sizes. Headquarters allows you to focus on your business while everything else is taken care of.

Clients using the headquarters centre are usually entrepreneurs or small businesses, ranging from lawyers and property developers to traders and freelancers, so the brand is the target of the entrepreneurial spirit that permeates Al Ain.

IWG’s multi-brand expansion strategy in the Middle East is designed to attract businesses and entrepreneurs of all types. IWG creates personal, financial and strategic value for businesses of all sizes, from some of the most exciting companies and established organizations on the planet, to individuals and the next generation of industry leaders. They all harness the power of flexible working to increase productivity, efficiency, agility and market proximity.
