AD Ports Group has announced that its new warehouse and logistics centre in Abu Dhabi will be operational in the third quarter of this year.
The hub – KLP21 – is located in Kizad, the group’s integrated trade, logistics and industrial zone, between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, adjacent to the upcoming regional food hub on the E311 main freight corridor, ensuring direct connections to all major markets, the The company said in a statement.

Comprising four warehouses with a capacity of over 80,000 square meters, KLP21 will be one of the largest temperature-controlled logistics hubs in the region.
The combined warehouse will be able to accommodate more than 100,000 pallets in a network of chambers that can be independently configured for various sizes and temperatures, including -26°C to 25°C, the statement added.
Developed by Kizad, the facility can also support key regional industries that require refrigerated and ambient storage, including the healthcare, food and beverage, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and specialty chemicals industries. It will provide various third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL) services, regional logistics hub operations and value-added services, including repackaging, professional packaging, labelling and more.
KLP21 will provide potential partners and customers with direct and efficient access to local, regional and global markets. In addition, the hub will be serviced by a fleet of more than 400 transport vehicles, supporting domestic and cross-border road transport, the company said. The facility will have two of four warehouses on a 40,000 sqm site and will be operated by AD Ports Logistics.
The project’s design incorporates advanced thermal insulation to reflect sunlight; skylights to reduce the need for lighting; recycling of water for irrigation; a centralized cooling system; and the use of primary, backup, and solar power.

Earlier this year, AD Ports Group partnered with UAE conglomerate Ghassan Aboud Group to establish one of the largest food wholesale trade and logistics centers in the region in KIZAD.
