A young woman is suing a motorist who tried to assault her on a public road. She said the man put her life in danger by chasing her car and trying to hit her for no reason.
The woman said in her lawsuit that she was driving on a road in Abu Dhabi when the man doggedly began chasing her.
She said he swerved the vehicle toward her car in a manner that could have endangered her life.
The complainant stated that she was threatened by the incident and that she was nearly involved in an accident when the defendant drove after her and tried to hit her.
She demanded that the man pay her Dh60,000 for the moral and material damage she suffered.

The woman said the Crown Court had earlier convicted the man, who had been punished for attempting to assault her. She also showed the court documents of previous court rulings.
After the man was convicted by the criminal court, the woman filed a civil suit seeking compensation from the man.
The man denied attempting to assault the woman when he appeared in court and asked the court to dismiss the case.
Based on evidence presented by the criminal court, the Al Ain Civil Court of First Instance issued a verdict ordering the man to pay the woman Dh15,000 as damages.
The driver was also told to pay the woman’s legal costs.
