On December 31st, the gates of the festival will be open from 3pm to 2am (the following day) and visitors will be welcomed with a “Hayakum” festival message. A “record-breaking” drone show, said to be the first of its kind in the region, featuring more than 3,000 drones, will also ring in the New Year.
The festivities also included various events at the Heritage Village, an art exhibition that showcases the UAE’s heritage by replicating the four main environments in which Emirati civilization settled and flourished: the marine environment, the desert environment, the mountain environment and the agricultural environment.
The festivities will include special events for children, including theater and circus performances at the Children’s Theatre, as well as fun games at Fun Fair City, sports at the Al Forsan International Sports Resort, and many others from 3pm to 3pm Event at 2am.
The Global Parade of Civilizations featuring more than 27 countries from around the world will usher in the New Year with carnival performances, international folklore and cultural performances that will roam the festival grounds and other pavilions.
Visitors to the festival can wander through the many different pavilions and experience the cultural heritage of the participating countries, such as dance and live music performances in the theaters scattered throughout the pavilions. In addition to traditional Emirati performances such as Al Yola and Al Razfa performed by Emirati performers, visitors can enjoy an interactive experience filled with fun and entertainment.
