On Thursday, the biggest names in country music came together to celebrate the genre’s best and brightest stars. 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards!
HARDY leads the pack with seven nominations this year, including song of the year and artist-songwriter of the year, sharing three of those nominations with collaborator Lenny Wilson for “wait in the truck.” For her part, Wilson received six nods — the most nominations for a female artist this year — including Female Artist of the Year.
Meanwhile, Miranda Lambert broke the record before the telecast even started. The “If I Were a Cowboy” singer received her 17th nomination for Female Artist of the Year, breaking the previous record of 16 nominations held by Reba McEntire. Lambert has a total of five nominations this year, and with the trophy handed out, he has a chance to break even more records.
