Roommate Pooh Shiesty has been detained for nearly six months. He has always insisted that he was innocent in a suspected shooting in October last year.according to Rolling Stone, Winnie the Pooh and his lawyer changed their minds.
Pooh Shiesty’s lawyer confirmed to Rolling Stone that the rapper will change his plea from innocence to guilty, and plans to reach a plea agreement in a federal case in which he was allegedly involved in the shooting and robbery of two men. Pooh’s real name is Langtell Williams, and his co-defendant appeared at the hearing before the judge and said they were changing their request.
Defence lawyer Bradford Cohen said: “We have entered into guilty plea negotiations because I think the development of the case has changed the dynamics of the case.”
Pooh and his lawyers have been working hard to get the rapper a fair trial. As we reported exclusively, his team recently petitioned the judge to prevent federal prosecutors from using evidence of past suspected crimes that occurred when he was a child.
According to legal documents obtained by TSR, the government plans to file an assault that occurred when Pooh Shiesty was 14 years old and a robbery that occurred when he was 11 years old.
Pooh Shiesty was arrested in June on suspicion of participating in the shooting and covert operation of two men in October 2020. The incident occurred in Miami, and two armed men allegedly emerged from a vehicle parked next to Pooh’s and began to display their guns.
One of the men, 28-year-old Brandon Cooper, was allegedly shot in the hip and was subsequently charged and arrested in Florida for his involvement in a bank fraud scheme.
Pooh’s trial date set for Monday, October 25th will be changed.
