Warehouse automation solutions provider Acme Intralog has launched a locally manufactured Radio Shuttle system ‘Namla’. Namla, which means “ant” in Arabic, is inspired by the natural intelligence systems of ants, the tiny creatures in nature, who diligently move things from one place to another.
Navin Narayan, CEO of Acme Intralog, said: “The Namla is 100% manufactured by Acme in the UAE. It is the only robotic radio shuttle manufactured locally in the country and I am very proud of our team for this pioneering initiative. Our new The Radio Shuttle generation can significantly increase the pallet storage density of standard pallets up to 1,500 kg. Custom options for specific needs and higher load requirements are available on request. Namla increases productivity and operational safety in high density distribution centers. ”
Semi-automated systems can be forklifted on custom racks. Namla can be operated remotely via an industrial-grade touch panel, allowing for quick task management. Lithium-ion batteries are designed to last at least eight hours during a typical shift in a distribution center. Batteries are easily interchangeable for continuous operation.
Polar Edition
Acme also offers the Namla arctic version which can safely operate in harsh temperatures and can be deployed by the refrigeration industry to operate safely between -30 and +40 degrees.
Narayan added: “Our customers have responded very well to Namla and we are currently looking for a regional distributor and integrator for our Radio Shuttle.” — trade arab news agency
