Action-packed Yas Island events calendar revealed

In a press release today, Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi, and its partners, A calendar of exciting events to be held on Yas Island from July 2022 to February 2023 has been announced. With the return of Showdown Week in Abu Dhabi, a host of events awaits you, including the Ultimate Fighting Championship UFC 281, the National Basketball Association (NBA) preseason at the Etihad Arena, and Oscar-winning composer AR Great performance by Rahman as part of Diwali celebrations. Also coming to the Etihad Arena is November’s exciting stage adaptation of Disney’s Lion King, adding another layer of entertainment to guests of the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix!

Returning to Abu Dhabi, Disney on Ice will surprise fans of all ages with a new show Mickey and Friends at the Etihad Arena in October. “On this occasion, we are delighted to announce the upcoming events on Yas Island. They are; the ITU World Triathlon Championships 2022 Finals will be held from 23 to 26 November. As DC Superhero Season kicks off in August, the fully air-conditioned indoor theme park Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will add some superhero flair to the summer. Through September, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and more will bring justice to the world’s largest venue of its kind.

Guests are invited to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the beloved Looney Tunes Canary Tweety at Warner Bros. World™ in Abu Dhabi from September 10th to 25th.

Visitors to Yas Island are in for an enchanting October, with sneaky Halloween nights every weekend. From trick-or-treating nights to scare around every corner, Warner Bros. World’s scariest era unfolds — just for those who dare.

Sports lovers, rejoice! October will be an adrenaline-filled time on Yas Island, as the National Basketball Association (NBA) pre-season games will be played at the Etihad Arena – a first ever for the region. With the Atlanta Hawks going head-to-head with the Milwaukee Bucks on October 6-8, fans will have plenty of opportunities to appreciate the appearances of current and former NBA players, sign up for leagues and more.

Featuring at least one world title fight, the leading mixed martial arts promotion UFC 281 on October 22 promises an action-packed weekend at the Etihad Arena.

The little ones, and those young at heart, will once again sing and dance with their beloved animated protagonists at Disney on Ice.
