AD Ports Group, a leading trade and logistics service provider, has signed a terms-in-charge agreement with Aqaba Development Corporation. AD Ports Group will build a state-of-the-art cruise terminal in Marsa Zayed, Aqaba.
This will be the first facility developed by AD Ports Group in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its first cruise facility outside the United Arab Emirates.
The new terminal will serve as the gateway to the Port of Aqaba and receive cruise passengers visiting the Red Sea. It will also serve as a major attraction for residents of Aqaba and provide a wide range of tourism, business and entertainment services.
A further agreement on the person in charge of terms was also signed, stating that AD Ports Group will manage the implementation of the Advanced Port Community System (PCS) through its digital division Maqta Gateway, which will oversee the communication between the Port of Aqaba and the terminal operator Aqaba. Communicate with the Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), Aqaba Development Corporation, Jordan Maritime Commission, customs, support services, and land connections to the port of Aqaba.
With its long-term and extensive expertise as a global trade and logistics facilitator, AD Ports Group will work closely with the Aqaba Development Corporation to deploy digital systems to expand the technical capabilities and capabilities of the Aqaba Port.
The agreement was signed during the visit of a high-level delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan headed by En. Nayef Ahmad Bakheet Altheeb is the Chief Commissioner of the Kaba Special Economic Zone Authority of Abu Dhabi, the first in a series of strategic partnerships established with AD Ports Group.
