In line with national efforts aimed at driving the growth of the UAE’s energy sector, AD Ports Group has signed a new agreement with Eni Abu Dhabi BV, the Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary of the world-renowned Italian integrated energy company, to establish a base for maritime logistics Mugharraq port , to support offshore drilling operations at the Al Dhafra Regional Centre.
The ultra-modern infrastructure of the Mugharraq port and its strategic location close to offshore oil and gas facilities in the region will provide Eni Abu Dhabi’s operations.
In addition to providing dedicated quay walls, marshalling yards, and manpower and logistical equipment, the company will also have access to on-site liquid slurry and bulk plant facilities.

The port was also recently recognised as an international port facility and received official certification from the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure in accordance with the guidelines of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code).
