Singapore-based Crystal Offshore will build a base at Khalifa Port with office facilities and a fabrication shop to provide advanced repair and refit for jack-up rigs as well as marine and offshore vessels.
The new shipyard fabrication facility will serve the needs of drilling rigs and marine assets as well as deepwater vessels such as FPSOs and semi-submersibles.
To this end, AD Ports Group, a leading enabler in global trade, logistics and industry, has signed a 25-year agreement with Crystal Offshore, a recognized provider of one-stop logistics solutions for the marine and offshore industry. Under the terms of the agreement, Crystal Offshore will be allocated a 20,000 square meter piece of land and associated quay walls at Khalifa Port.
