Adele has stripped her of her Las Vegas residency.
The 34-year-old singer is keen to make her upcoming show at Caesars Palace more “intimate” than she had previously planned.
A source explained: “Adele has revamped her show plans to cut it out. The production will be very elegant and the show will be centred around her energy and voice.”
The hit producer of “People Like You” previously had her residency delayed due to “delivery delays and COVID.” She is now passionate about creating a different kind of show.
An insider told The Sun’s Strange column: “The January show provided room for an important orchestra and band and a 60-piece choir. The feeling was huge, grand and very dramatic. .
“Now she wants it to be more intimate and connect with the audience by being there during the performance.
“Adele wants to make her mark on this show and be seen as one of the greatest headliners Sin City has ever seen.
“The genius of this approach is that the intimacy is different compared to other performances. Adele’s performance will be imbued with her warmth and personality.
“The production still features dazzling backdrops complemented by screen and stage props.
“The choir is currently discussing whether additional singers will be invited to the finale featuring ‘Skyfall’.”
Adele delayed her entire Las Vegas residency in January, just 24 hours before opening night.
The award-winning star then took to social media to explain the decision to her fans.
Adele said on Instagram: “I’m sorry, but my show isn’t ready. Half of my team has coronavirus and it’s impossible to finish the show.”
Adele also admitted to being “embarrassed” by the situation.
She said: “Sorry, it’s the last minute. I’m so upset, I’m really embarrassed, and I’m sorry to everyone who’s traveling again.”
