Adele’s The much-anticipated trip to Las Vegas finally came true, but it took a lot of hard work to get here.
When the singer decided to postpone her residency at the last minute in January, fans scrambled, some already on the big night.
At the time, Adele apologized video statement, shared their inability to pull production together in time, and pointed to her team’s Covid-19 infection as a factor. “I’m sad, I’m really embarrassed, and I’m sorry to everyone traveling again. I’m really sorry,” she said.
The residency was finally rescheduled for November 18. Beginning yesterday, the “Rolling In The Deep” singer took a moment to address the elephant in the room on the opening night of “Weekend With Adele.”

“I should give you a standing ovation,” she told the roaring crowd. “Thank you so much for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. You look amazing and look just like I imagined. Perfect.”
She went on to admit, “I’m scared, I’m nervous, but I’m happy. I don’t know what I’m thinking fk piano ballad at the top of the set. Hopefully with time my nerves will go away. “

Before taking the stage, Adele shared some similar feelings on Instagram, along with a photo of her sitting in the audience section of the performance space.
“As I write this, I have all sorts of feelings,” she began her caption. “I was very emotional, unbelievably nervous, but couldn’t sit still because I was so excited.”
She went on to share that she was always intimidated before performing. “I think it’s a good sign because it means I care and it means I just want to do a good job,” she continued. “Maybe it’s because I didn’t start when I was supposed to. Maybe it’s opening night, maybe it’s because Hyde Park is amazing, maybe it’s because I didn’t know I liked the show. But it’s safe to say I’m on my I’ve never been so nervous before a show in my career, but at the same time, I hope today is tomorrow! I can’t wait to see you there.”
Based on audience reactions, it’s safe to say she didn’t just kill it.
Adele’s residency now runs until Saturday, March 25, 2023 caesars palace.
