ADFD, Adex and Al Dahra discuss ways to grow agriculture

A delegation from the Abu Dhabi Foundation for Development (ADFD) and the Abu Dhabi Export Office (Adex) visited Al Dahra Agriculture and discussed ways to develop the agricultural sector.

Delegates held meetings with company officials, during which they explored ways to strengthen cooperation and highlighted ADFD’s role in supporting major national companies’ access to global markets.

The ADFD delegation was led by Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Development Fund and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Abu Dhabi Export Office, and included Rashid Al Kaabi, Director of Investment, ADFD; and Khalil Al Mansouri, Acting Director of Abu Dhabi Export Office. The ADFD delegation was briefed on the functions of the company’s various departments, production and trade of basic food products, supply chain and warehousing.

Strategic objectives

Al Suwaidi said: “At ADFD, we aspire to strengthen our relationships and unify our efforts with national institutions operating in vital sectors. We place a high priority on supporting the country’s private sector, developing the country’s exports and enhancing its global competitiveness. Our commitment to Al Dahra Agriculture The visit is part of our initiatives to support the company’s national strategic goals of making strides in the agricultural sector and diversifying the UAE’s economy.”

Khedaim Abdulla Al Derei, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Al Dahra Group expressed his gratitude to the visiting delegation and stressed that Al Dahra Group is eager to strengthen its relationship with ADFD for its role in promoting socio-economic development and sustainable development in developing countries important role in supporting the national economy and developing the UAE’s export sector.

He added that the visit is in line with the UAE’s national and economic goals of developing the agricultural sector and enhancing the sustainability of food security, which is considered essential to strengthen and diversify the national economy.

The two sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation and intensifying efforts to enhance the export competitiveness of the two countries, promote the development of the national economy and increase the gross domestic product. — trade arab news agency
