Adnoc Logistics and Services (Adnoc L&S) supplies critical energy products to more than 100 customers in more than 50 countries around the world and is a key enabler of Adnoc’s business development and future-oriented plans.
With a fleet of almost 245 vessels, Adnoc L&S operates and charters another approximately 600 vessels per annum, with a diversified and modern fleet designed to meet the logistics and shipping needs of its customers globally, WAM reported.

Adnoc L&S is committed to decarbonising its operations and reducing its overall environmental impact. In the past six years alone, it has invested or committed around $2 billion in environmentally friendly newbuild ships to support the UAE’s 2050 net-zero goals and surpass the IMO’s decarbonization targets.
Adnoc L&S has used innovation and technology to reduce the carbon intensity per tonne of the company’s own vessels, reducing carbon intensity by more than 20% since 2018. The company is also committed to maintaining a high level of HSE performance. In 2022, it received a Green Shipping Award from Maritime Standard and an Outstanding HSE Performance Award from Lloyd’s Register in recognition of its commitment to sustainability and decarbonization efforts.
The long-term contract with Adnoc provides a solid foundation for future growth. The company has entered into agreements to provide specialist services across all oil ports in Abu Dhabi and has signed a $2.6 billion contract with Adnoc Offshore to provide integrated logistics services through its new Integrated Logistics Services Platform (ILSP), ILSP is one of the largest turnkey offshore logistics platforms delivering products to the world from its base in Mussafah.
Despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, Adnoc L&S has shown strong and resilient revenue growth over the past three years. This was attributable to improved shipping and operational performance, growth in the integrated logistics segment and the acquisition of ZMI Holdings, an Abu Dhabi-based owner and operator of offshore jack-up barges and offshore support vessels, with more than 1,700 employees in the UAE Employees, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and China. Today, Adnoc L&S’ mission critical energy logistics services to Adnoc, Abu Dhabi and the UAE maintain the continuous flow of energy commodities of strategic importance to the national economy. They also support the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ initiative to stimulate growth in the industrial sector and create more jobs for UAE nationals.

The company’s Mussafah base in Abu Dhabi is one of the largest energy logistics bases in the region, covering an area of 1.5 million square meters, equivalent to about 300 football fields. It owns and operates one of the largest fleets of self-propelled jack-up barges used for offshore drilling and installation operations, as well as support vessels servicing Adnoc’s entire offshore production network.
Shipping is the second largest business segment of Adnoc L&S. The company uses a fleet of specialized vessels to transport a range of vital energy products, including natural gas, crude oil and sulfur, to customers around the world. Finally, the Marine Services segment provides highly specialized services including oil port operations and critical oil spill response support – protecting the UAE’s national waters and its marine ecosystem.
