The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with the UAE Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis) to accelerate talent recruitment in the private sector, creating 3,000 additional jobs for UAE nationals in its supply chain by 2025 post.
Through this agreement, Adnoc will step up efforts to ensure that companies in its supply chain take advantage of the programs and incentives provided by Nafis to hire local talent.
Adnoc will also contribute to improving the competitiveness of the nation by encouraging them to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the scheme.
The agreement was signed by Abdulmunim Al Kindi, Executive Director of Human, Technology and Corporate Services, Adnoc, and Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of Nafis, in the presence of Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and CEO, Adnoc Group Managing Director and Human Resources and Emirate Minister Dr Abdulrahman Al Awar.
“By creating the Nafis programme, the UAE leadership has demonstrated its strong commitment to providing local talent with opportunities to work and succeed in the private sector,” said Dr. Al Jaber.
“Inspired by this vision, Adnoc is fully committed to partnering with NAFIS and private companies in our supply chain to facilitate and facilitate the matching of talent with private sector opportunities,” he noted.
As the UAE prepares for the next 50 years, Nafis will support a sustainable and diverse economy by enabling nationals to play an increasing role in the private sector and continue to make important contributions to driving the country’s economic development.
Through tailored initiatives, NAFIS works to integrate citizens into existing and new areas of the private sector. The program is based on collaboration between the federal government, local authorities and the private sector.
Al Mazrouei said: “This agreement supports the UAE leadership’s vision to empower our nation’s talent and enhance their contribution to national growth and development. By leveraging Adnoc’s extensive supply chain, we will expand and deepen Nafis’ presence in energy, industry and manufacturing industry and nurturing the next generation of talent in the UAE in these fields.”
Companies in the Adnoc supply chain have employed more than 3,500 nationals since Adnoc launched its highly successful Domestic Value (ICV) programme in 2018.
As part of this collaboration, Adnoc will host conferences to match talented Emirati professionals with employment opportunities at major companies in their supply chain. Adnoc has held its first conference with over 300 local participants and 11 major companies.
