For specialists and researchers in the sciences and humanities, including doctors, specialists, scientists and innovators, the 10-year Golden Visa offers a variety of residence options. For long-term residence, investors and entrepreneurs can apply for the Abu Dhabi Golden Visa. It is available to top global talent if they wish to settle, live, work and develop in Abu Dhabi for the foreseeable future.
Golden visa holders can sponsor their spouses, children and parents, regardless of their age, as recommended by relevant agencies such as the Abu Dhabi Residents’ Office.

A long time ago, the UAE government introduced the Golden Residence Scheme, which offers long-term residency, allowing holders to live there without a sponsor.
Abu Dhabi is home to a host of high-growth businesses in creative sectors, R&D, healthcare, agriculture and financial services, as well as a thriving entrepreneurial environment.
Those who hold the Golden Visa enjoy special privileges. It includes a multiple-entry visa valid for six months to complete the application process. In addition, they are eligible for renewable resident visas valid for five or ten years.
Family members can remain in the UAE as long as the residency is valid, even if the sponsor dies.
