Abu Dhabi Airways, the first low-cost airline in the UAE capital, today marked a major milestone as it celebrated its first million passengers at Abu Dhabi International Airport since it entered operations in July 2020.
Recently celebrating its second year of successful operation, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has flown 1,000,000 passengers on more than 8,000 flights to 25 destinations from its hub at Abu Dhabi International Airport. To mark the occasion, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is offering its one millionth passenger unlimited free round-trip airfare to any destination for 12 months. The lucky winner was greeted by airlines and airport staff at Abu Dhabi International Airport while checking in for flight 3L714 to Tbilisi and received a prize.
This latest milestone follows a steady rise in passenger numbers driven by the airline’s expanding route network, value-driven offerings and cost-competitive air travel services directly from Abu Dhabi.

Since the start of operations in July 2020, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s fleet has grown from two Airbus A320 aircraft at launch to eight new aircraft today, with more expected to join the fleet by the end of the year.
