airBaltic operates year-round flights from Dubai to Riga, the capital of Latvia, four times a week in winter and three times in summer, for the first time in the company’s history.
Air Baltic has revealed its flight schedule for next year’s upcoming summer, which will start in late March 2023. The airline plans to launch 18 new routes from the Baltic Sea and connect Riga to nearly 70 routes in its network.
Martin Gauss, President and CEO of airBaltic, said: “This is the largest number of new routes we have seen in a single season at airBaltic. We will continue to work on our home city in the Baltic Sea and improve connectivity to and from the region. It is a pleasure to expand Air Baltic services for the next summer, adding new routes and increasing the frequency of our existing leisure and urban leisure routes.”
From May 2020, all Air Baltic flights use a single aircraft type – the Airbus A220-300, minimising complexity and benefiting from the extra efficiency the aircraft offers. The airline’s fleet now consists of 36 A220-300 aircraft, with three more still planned to join in 2022. – arab trade news agency
