The Al Ain Campus is the aviation hub of the Abu Dhabi Institute of Technology and its mission is to promote the Emiratisation of aviation by providing training opportunities for young Emirati nationals to become qualified in the fields of aircraft maintenance and engineering. We strive to be the leading professional aviation education institution in the Middle East.
In support of our mission, we are looking for a Head of Al Ain Campus who will be in charge of campus operations to ensure a quality education for students so that they can gain gainful employment. Ensure successful management of curriculum and educational administration, implement strategic plans, and provide leadership in building a community of students and staff with a core responsibility to promote independent, lifelong learning.
More specifically, the role will require successful candidates to:
- Proactively network; build and maintain productive relationships with industry, community and parents
- Improve graduate employability by offering industry-focused courses and ensuring the participation of industry players
- Ensuring the best academic performance of teachers and academic support staff
- Oversee the delivery of educational programs and courses
- Strive to achieve high standards of academic achievement
- Work with accreditation bodies to ensure compliance and maintain program accreditation
- Lead and motivate employees to improve performance and maintain a productive workforce
- Teach designated hours as needed
Candidates must have:
• A master’s degree in a related engineering field is essential, a Ph.D.is the first choice
• 10 years of higher education management experience, including in leadership roles, and industry experience
• A clear understanding of the vocational education sector
