Al Ain Oasis in the UAE, the largest of six oases in the region, will launch the Saturday Market Al Ain Oasis every Saturday from 28 January to 5 March, offering a range of local produce and family-friendly activities.
Visitors will be able to support local small businesses offering everything from jewelry and accessories to authentic local fashion. For those with a big appetite, the finest food concepts are curated in a colorful souk style.
Visitors can also do their weekly grocery shopping at the farmers’ market for locally sourced fruits and vegetables. With live entertainment and a plethora of activities, the market has something for everyone and is the perfect place for friends and family to spend the day.
Vendors will change weekly, so the market promises to offer an endless supply of new local produce – perfect for gift giving or sourcing artisan food and snacks.
The Al Ain Oasis covers over 1,200 hectares with over 550 palm tree farms and over 147,000 date palms. Stroll the shaded walkways and enjoy the UAE’s first curated visitor experience to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, introducing the delicate oasis ecosystem, irrigation system and its vital role in Abu Dhabi’s development. Permanent attractions include the Eco Center, Oasis Gardens, Falaj Exhibition and Micro Oasis.
The Al Ain Oasis Saturday Market is open from 3pm to midnight and tickets cost AED 10 ($2.72) for children aged 3 to 11 and AED 20 for visitors aged 12 and over. Admission is free for children 2 and under, as well as those of determination. – trade arab news agency
